SHORT SUMMARY

Hello there! I'm Alex Powles - a Level design-focused designer with some technical design experience. Level design is my true passion in the games industry. I've been a gamer for most of my life, and I've always been curious about how games are put together. When I first opened up Unreal Engine five years ago, I instantly knew that this industry was where I belonged.

Creating games lets me flex my creative muscles and pushes me to think outside the box, solving problems along the way. Sure, it's tough at times, but overcoming those challenges in unique ways makes the job all the more rewarding.

So... what else do I do besides designing? Well, in my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym and playing sports. I've played multiple sports including Ultimate Frisbee, winning at Varsity for University, I have also played football at several different levels winning player of the year twice but I prefer nothing more than kicking a ball about with some friends. I'm also big on nature and travelling, coming from the small countryside - I always stop to appreciate the beauty of our world. And of course, I love playing games! My favourite genre of games is usually single-player RPGs such as Spiderman or Red Dead Redemption 2. However, I am always willing to try any genre of game to help expand my mind to all sorts of level design.
